The internet issue in the USA or why there are so many cable technicians in demand?

The development of technology has brought significant changes and improvements to various industries, but the same cannot be said for the cable industry in the United States. Despite its economic dominance, the internet situation in the US is poor compared to other regions. Even Eastern European countries have better cable networks with higher internet speeds.

While most Eastern European countries offer internet speeds of 100 MB/sec or higher, the majority of US internet customers still have speeds of only 10-20 MB/sec. The reason for this is that 70% of internet customers in the US are still using old and outdated telephone cables, which leads to poor connectivity and slow internet speeds with frequent interruptions.

As time passes, the internet is becoming an essential part of our lives. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for high-speed internet connections, and there has been a significant increase in demand for coaxial and fiber-optic networks. Unfortunately, the number of qualified specialists in this field has not increased at the same rate.

The lack of staff, which is a common problem in many technical professions, requires people to graduate from college or take expensive specialized courses to gain the necessary skills. This has led to a severe shortage of cable network specialists in the US.

In conclusion, it is evident that the cable industry in the US needs to improve its infrastructure to keep up with the rest of the world. This can only be achieved by investing in modern technologies, hiring and training more qualified staff, and replacing outdated cables with newer, more reliable ones. By doing so, the US can catch up with the rest of the world and provide its citizens with faster and more reliable internet connections.
